MD, PhD, orthopedic surgeon, the senior researcher of “The Turner Scientific Research Institute for Children’s Orthopedics”

Victor A. Vilenskiy was born in Leningrad, 1980.

2003: graduated from Acad. I.P. Pavlov Saint-Petersburg Municipal Medical University;
2003-2006: post-graduate education, specialization in traumatology and orthopedics;
2004-2006: orthopedic surgeon in Saint-Petersburg Municipal Hospital #26.

From 2006 till 2012 – researcher and orthopedic surgeon in R.R.Vreden Russian Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics, member of External Fixation Department (head – Professor Leonid N. Solomin).

2009: PhD thesis. Topic: “Development of the basic principles of new technology of treatment patients with diaphyseal damages of long bones on the base of external frame with the quality of passive computer navigation”.
From 2014 – researcher and orthopedic surgeon in “The Turner Scientific and Research Institute for Children’s Orthopedics ”

Author of over 86 publications including 18 articles (7 in English-speaking journals), 10 patents and 2 chapters in monographs.
The basic researches are dedicated to the questions of enhancement of long bone deformities treatment, periprosthetic fractures, and computer navigation in traumatology and orthopedics, children’s orthopedics.
Member of ASAMI International, ASAMI Russia, AO Russia and AO International .
